Lake Wilcox Park isn’t your average outdoor sports arena; it’s a place where competition meets calmness, where the excitement of the game blends with the tranquility of nature. Here, basketball isn’t the only attraction. Picture a playground buzzing with laughter, beach volleyball courts brimming with intensity, and a skatepark where creativity knows no bounds. All this, alongside the impressive Oak Ridges Community Centre, makes this park a beautiful addition to the town of Richmond Hill.
When you hear “Lakeside,” what comes to mind? Maybe it’s the water’s allure, the serenity of the scene, or the vivid colors that paint the view. It has always been a tradition to gift the two finalist teams Lakeside Hoops T-shirts – black for home and white for away games. But there’s more in store this year, with Rise Above and Lakeside hoops jerseys introducing a burst of creativity. Imagine shades of baby blue, midnight blue, and crisp white – a nod to the lake’s ever-changing shades.
